The bowls are great! I have a few of the larger size already, so I decided to get some more with the range of smaller sizes. They arrived in sturdy packaging and overall look very nice! There is a small defect on the middle sized bowl on the underside of the rim (as pictured). It looks a bit like a chip, but it feels smooth like the rest of the bowl, so I believe its just a small manufacturer defect. Doesn't effect the function or general look, so not a huge deal. Love the longterm functionality!

I bake. A lot. My husband is always and forever breaking at least one of my set of bowls. When between he and my two children they'd whittled it down to two, I found this set and was extremely happy - until he decided it would be fine to stick one in the oven rather than cleaning a casserole dish..... Yeah. No. Not a great idea. *sigh* These were never designed for that and you'd think he'd have learned by now to stop messing with my mixing bowls.

At any rate, these are great for doing what they were designed to do, they look good, they stack nicely, they are fine in the dishwasher, and give you a great variety of sizes to work with. I'm still very happy, even though I'm down one bowl. May the kitchen goddess Annoia take pity on me. *wink to Terry Pratchett fans*

The rating of a 3 for weight is not a negative as these are very sturdy bowls and feel as though will last a long time. If they were not heavy, (not overly) I would not see them as lasting for long, especially when using a stand mixer with them or placing them in the oven as they are rated as oven safe after the oven is pre-heated. They are also fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. They also come with lids, What more can you ask for, outside of the fact that are beautiful and will enhance any tablescape when using them as serving bowls. They were only $26.89 for the set of 3. They are sculpted on the outside, but smooth on the inside. These bowls are thick, heavy, and seem very durable. I use the large one to marinate meat, and I use the smaller ones for holding vegetables when I want to free up my cutting board space. The smallest bowl also serves great for little snacks. I did not use glass bowls before this, so I do feel like I have to be extra careful with these bowls, but they do seem solid and sturdy. Washing them makes me a little nervous because they feel smooth and slippery and it's hard to grasp and hold them when you are washing them. I constantly feel like they're going to slip out of my fingers, so I'm extra careful handling them. Gripping them may be hard because they are heavy and slippery when washing, so I feel like maybe a person with arthritis may have difficulty holding these when washing dishes. Lastly, I do like that the 3 sizes can be nested, so it saves space when you store them.

1st - the lid to the small bowl was bent in or melted or something and could not be used. Thus the 4 star rating. With that being said, these are Pyrex dishes which means they are strong & steady. The bowls are beautiful with the ridged look and I love the colorful lids. I wasn’t sure at first what the bowls would look like because some of the reviews were talking about 2 different bowls. One person showed bowls that had a lipped rim. Glad I got the ones with the ridged look. I will mostly use the bowls for storing leftovers in the fridge or for salads. I made chicken salad in the small bowl. It didn’t break with all the mixing & cutting up of chicken. It was steady on the table, sitting evenly without me worrying that it would start rocking and turn over. None of that. I don’t own a dishwasher so I can’t address how they’ll do, but they are super easy to handwash. Beautiful bowls, great price, & I feel will be long lasting. Tops are a great fit & the bowls come well packed. In fact, it took me forever to get in the box & each bowl was properly separated to prevent breakage.

What I like most about these bowls as they go from cabinet to refrigerator and can even go in the microwave if needed. I recommend these nice quality.
